Laboratory
The laboratory at Charlotte Regional Medical Center is fully accredited by the CAP, JCAHO and certified by CLIA as a high-complexity laboratory capable of providing a wide variety of lab services to our inpatients and outpatients. Our laboratory staff is certified and licensed by the State of Florida and meets or exceeds requirements for accreditation. In addition, our lab also has an active outreach program that provides same-day service to the area's physician clinics. The laboratory is staffed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Our lab offers a comprehensive test menu by utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and the latest technology. Most tests are performed in-house, resulting in a quicker turnaround time.
While the hospital provides a comprehensive cardiac care program, the laboratory is well equipped to provide all necessary testing to assist in an immediate diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of our cardiac patients at all times. In addition, testing is available for health screens, therapeutic drug monitoring and other diagnostic purposes.
