Center for Joint Replacement

If you or someone you know is experiencing hip or knee pain, joint replacement surgery may be your best bet for returning to an active, pain-free life.

This program enables small groups of patients having hip or knee replacement surgery to go through the process of pre-surgical education, surgery, rehabilitation, and discharge together.

The only program of its kind in Charlotte County, Charlotte Regional’s Joint Academy program offers a new approach to orthopedic care. “The entire program is focused around a series of specific events that emphasize patient education, therapy, and fun,” says Janet Robles, Joint Academy coordinator. “Our goal is to achieve both clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.”

At Joint Academy, the goal is to deliver the finest care and quickest road to recovery. The specially trained orthopedic team at Charlotte Regional Medical Center creates an individual care plan for each patient, working together to alleviate fears and boost rehabilitation.
